Amateur radio broadcasts from the Monitor-3 and Monitor-4 satellites to celebrate the anniversary of their launch.

Amateur radio broadcasts are regularly conducted from the satellites of SINP MSU: Monitor-3 and Monitor-4. Today, on June 27, 2024, another broadcast is held in honor of the launch anniversary. A total of 8 sessions of such broadcasts were held in the cource of 1 year.

During operation, the satellites make approximately 5,450 orbits around Earth (altitude 520-550 kilometers, orbital period 96.6-96.8 minutes). In addition to telemetry, amateur radio operators also contribute to the acquisition of images for technical testing purposes. On June 21st, an attempt was made to capture images of a low-flying satellite from the Monitor-4. As a result, the amateur radio community was able to download 40 images from orbit within two days.
