SSTV Transmission from MONITOR-3 (RS58S) Satellite
Dates: June 27 - 29, 2025
To celebrate the two-year orbital anniversary of the SINP MSU satellite, a special SSTV transmission event will be held.
The small spacecraft "MONITOR-3" was launched on June 27, 2023, from the Vostochny Cosmodrome as part of the Space-Pi program.
The SINP MSU satellite was designed to test the collaborative operation of a nanosatellite cluster for observing cosmic flashes in X-ray and gamma-ray radiation. This mission is part of the larger scientific and educational project "Sozvezdie-270" (Constellation-270) by the MSU Space Research and Technology School.
The satellite's payload is the DEKOR-2 instrument, developed by scientists at SINP MSU. Its primary mission is to monitor charged particle fluxes in low Earth orbit.
