Hands-On Workshop by the Radiation Monitoring Lab: "Reach for the Cosmos: Capturing Satellite Signals with Your Own Hands"

Friends, we have exciting news for everyone who wants to not just see, but truly touch space!

On October 12, as part of the Science Festival, our colleague Dmitry Pashkov, a researcher from the Radiation Monitoring Laboratory of SINP MSU, will host a unique hands-on workshop: "Reach for the Cosmos: Capturing Satellite Signals with Your Own Hands."

What to expect:

  • You will learn how ordinary smartphones and accessible radio components can be turned into powerful tools for receiving data from orbit.
  • You will see, in practice, how to capture a signal from satellites passing right over our heads.
  • You will understand the valuable scientific information these signals carry and how they are used in modern research.

This is your chance to make a small, but real, scientific discovery with your own hands and feel like a part of the global space community!
