On October 12, as part of the Science Festival, our colleague Dmitry Pashkov, a researcher from the Radiation Monitoring Laboratory of SINP MSU, will host a unique hands-on workshop: "Reach for the Cosmos: Capturing Satellite Signals with Your Own Hands."
What to expect:
You will learn how ordinary smartphones and accessible radio components can be turned into powerful tools for receiving data from orbit.
You will see, in practice, how to capture a signal from satellites passing right over our heads.
You will understand the valuable scientific information these signals carry and how they are used in modern research.
