The impact of the May geomagnetic disturbance on small spacecraft

The geomagnetic storm that occurred in May did not cause any significant damage to the fleet of small spacecraft that were launched as part of the Space-Pi project.

However, there were some consequences. A reduction in the altitude of the satellites was noted.

The Radiation Monitoring Lab's specialists have some comments about this event.

Dmitry Pashkov stated that the drop was 4 kilometers at Monitor-3 and 5 kilometers at Monitor-4.

Georgy Antonyuk: "we're monitoring the situation and noted a significant decrease in activity during the five-day period of storms. However, all devices were in service and continuing to operate without interruption".
