Happy Russian Science Day!

Dear colleagues,

The Radiation Monitoring Laboratory of the Skobektsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics at Lomonosov Moscow State University congratulates everyone on our professional holiday!

Scientific activity is about the enhancement and development of the existing research base, as well as strengthening the foundations of our country's technological and cultural progress. On this significant day, we wish you inspiration, successful projects, and new discoveries!

The Radiation Monitoring Laboratory tirelessly studies and monitors the radiation environment. We utilize a constellation of small CubeSats, which allows us to implement operational forecasts of the radiation situation in various regions of near-Earth space in a relatively cost-effective manner. These developments continue the in-depth study of problems related to high-energy radiation and radiation processes, both of natural and artificial origin, in near-Earth space and the atmosphere of our planet.

Among our goals and objectives are the monitoring of the upper layers of near-Earth space, the development of new space communication systems, as well as Earth-space communication, and the investigation of the influence of space weather factors on radiation conditions and the planet’s ecosystem. We engage in space materials science and many other fields that open new horizons for science and technology.

"When science reaches a peak, it opens up a broad perspective for the further journey towards new heights, new roads on which science will advance." - Sergey Vavilov.
