The movement of stars within galaxies cannot be fully understood without the inclusion of dark matter

The scientific community acknowledges the existence of dark matter, but the precise nature of this substance remains a mystery.

Eduard Boos, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics, as well as co-chair of the National Center for Physics and Mathematics and head of the Sarov Master's Program at Moscow State University, discussed hypotheses about dark matter and its potential impact on daily human life.

You can learn about the latest research in the fields of quantum field theory, elementary particle physics, and cosmology from July 8 to 12 at the Second School of the National Center for Physics and Mathematics named after V. A. Rubakov. The event will be broadcasted on the VKontakte page of the National Center.
