Workshop in Hainan Province

From March 25th to 29th, the scientists from Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics, Moscow State University - S.I. Svertilov and V.I. Osedlo, as members of the delegation from the Russian Federation, participated in a working meeting held in the province of Hainan, People's Republic of China.

At the meeting, issues of developing joint activities in the field of scientific, educational and research space projects for students and schoolchildren were discussed, as well as deepening scientific and research cooperation in the space sphere.

The meeting was hosted by the Innovation Promotion Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, at the invitation of the authorities of Wenchan and the Aerospace Center, as well as the Wenchang Cosmodrome.

The parties have agreed to establish long-term cooperative relations and commence work on conducting joint scientific and educational space-related experiments using CubeSat satellites. They will address issues related to the joint acquisition and processing of scientific data, as well as the organization of educational events for students and young people from China and Russia.

Representatives from Tsinghua University, a leading university in China, participated in the negotiations.

The cooperation will focus on the development of the CONSTELLATION - 270 project of Moscow University and the Space-Pi project with the assistance of the Cosmos School at Moscow University.
