The 15th Championship has officially kicked off, and it seems that even the weather was on our side: over the two days, there was no exhausting heat, just a light drizzle that couldn’t stop the launches!
🚀 More than 70 vehicles were launched over the weekend. Most of the launches were successful, although there were some incidents: parachutes failed to deploy on time, lines became tangled, and recovery systems didn’t activate. Nevertheless, despite all the setbacks, congratulations to all the teams on their launches!
🎓 Our participants also had the opportunity to attend engaging lectures by invited specialists:
— Dmitry Aleksandrovich Pashkov from the Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics at Moscow State University spoke about receiving satellite data and demonstrated a practical example using flight-control software.
— Egor Vladimirovich Morozov from the K8-Group team gave a lecture on developing rockets with liquid-propellant rocket engines, shared valuable and practical advice with young engineers, and presented his work in the field of science.
🌟 One of the highlights was a workshop led by Dmitry Aleksandrovich, during which he received data from a satellite using an antenna and decoded the signals into images with the help of specialized software. The contestants found the activity very engaging and gained a lot of practical knowledge.
🎙 Another exciting event was an interactive interview session with the Championship participants. It gave them an opportunity to tell us about themselves, their teams, and their achievements in engineering.
