As part of the Space-Pi project, in collaboration with the M.V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University (SAFU), a CubeSat 3U satellite named ArcticSat was developed. Kubsat will conduct research on the effects of space weather on spacecraft systems within the circumpolar regions of the planet.
DeCoR-2 device is one of the payloads on board ArcticSat. DeCoR-2 is a cosmic radiation detector developed by the researchers at the Skobeltsyn Nuclear Physics Institute, Moscow State University.
In addition, a work of art in the form of an octopus by the Russian artist Nastya Miro will be installed on the satellite. This octopus has become a part of the "Octonautics" project, which aims to draw attention to the issue of space debris.
